The San Francisco Bay Area has been experiencing extreme rain patterns for the past couple of weeks. We have been dealing with many issues with trees uprooting and leaving some people without a home due to the tree falling on top of the roof. Luckily, no one has been hurt in any of our instances.
On Tuesday afternoon on February 21st 2017, Anderson’s Tree Care Specialists received the kind of emergency call we dread: an 88-foot redwood in a park had uprooted in the storm, and was dangling over an apartment building. The fallen tree was supported by two other much smaller redwood trees…which were also uprooted.
The only safe way to remove such an unstable tree is with a large crane, operated by an experienced operator properly trained to remove large trees. Because of the short notice and the extreme emergency we were forced to call upon an operator employed by a company we had not worked with before. We were a bit nervous, but very impressed with the work and outcome. The professional tree removal operator turned out to be knowledgeable and easy going, and together, we got all three fallen redwood trees cut down and cleaned up in just 6 hours.
